The Western Hills Cougars bounced back strong from their back-to-back losses to the Bowie Jackrabbits and the Burkburnet Bulldogs, 78-29, dominating the Gold-Burg Bears with a 69-38 win today.
This high-scoring victory was a much-needed boost, bringing the Cougars’ record to 5-12, while Gold-Burg fell to 2-6 after their seventh consecutive road loss.
Next up for the Cougars is a showdown with the Petrolia Pirates at 4:45 p.m. today, followed by a district matchup against the Dunbar Wildcats on January 3rd at 11:00 a.m.
