Climb, Explore, and Discover at Benbrook’s Touch-A-Truck Night.

For many kids, seeing a fire engine or police car up close never gets old. In Benbrook, that curiosity is about to turn into a hands-on experience.

On Tuesday, April 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., families are invited to the Benbrook Community Center YMCA parking lot for the city’s Touch-A-Truck event. The evening is designed to give residents, especially kids, a chance to step inside the vehicles they usually only see from a distance.

From patrol cars and fire engines to tractors, ambulances, and ladder trucks, the event brings together the tools and teams that help keep the community running. It also offers something just as valuable, a chance to meet the people behind those roles and learn what they do each day.

The event is free and open to all ages, making it an easy option for families looking for something fun and local. Vendors will also be on site with food available for purchase.

For more information, residents can contact Cecilia Ventura at 817-249-6008.

For one evening, the doors are open, the lights are on, and the community gets a closer look at the work happening all around them.
