Benbrook neighbors get a fresh start on Saturday, October 11, 2025. From 8 a.m. to noon, Dutch Branch Park will host a free E-Waste and Shred collection in the back lot behind the Benbrook Community Center/YMCA, 1899 Winscott Rd. Please bring a driver’s license or utility bill to confirm your residency in Benbrook. The event ends at noon or when the trucks are full.
This is a simple way to protect your privacy, recycle responsibly, and free up space at home. Sierra Shred will destroy documents on-site. Innovative Electronics will handle e-waste and will destroy computer hard drives. Please shred to reasonable household amounts and do not mix in plastics, such as credit cards or discs.
Accepted items include:
- Televisions, radios, telephones (no CRT sets)
- Computers, monitors, printers
- Fax machines and copiers
- Microwaves and large appliances such as dishwashers, washers, dryers, and refrigerators
- Gaming systems
- Vacuums
- VCR players
- Smoke detectors
Plan your drop-off early, load items safely, and separate paper from plastic. For details, call Cecilia Ventura at 817-249-6008.
