A chuckwagon driver and a crew member were injured in an accident during a race at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo on Friday, February 7.
The driver, Reed Rosencrans, was thrown from the wagon and landed under it. He was evaluated by medical staff and later transported to a local hospital, where doctors determined he had suffered shoulder muscle injuries.
A crew member sustained minor injuries while attempting to stop the horses, and one of the horses fell during the incident. For precautionary reasons, the horse was removed from the arena on a stretcher but appeared unharmed.
Officials commended the quick response of the medical and veterinary teams and expressed their well wishes for Rosencrans’ recovery as theย Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeoย concluded this past weekend.
