BENBROOK, TX – A bomb threat at Western Hills High School prompted a swift response from fire, police, and SWAT teams late this morning, leading to school evacuations and road closures around campus.
Parents, students, and staff scrambled for information as emergency crews arrived. Some parents reported difficulty reaching the school by phone, even as the school continued posting routine updates about upcoming events. Meanwhile, students were seen gathered on the football field bleachers as police secured the area.
Despite initial confusion, school staff maintained a calm and orderly response, ensuring students remained safe. Authorities later confirmed the bomb threat, which follows a disturbing trend of similar threats across Fort Worth ISD schools.
After a thorough sweep, officials cleared the campus, allowing students to return to class. While some parents chose to pick up their children early, school operations resumed without further incident.
