Bobcats Soccer Blank Cougars 4-0 to Reclaim Battle of the Brook.

While the Lady Bobcats were winning across town, the Benbrook boys made sure the night’s sweep was complete.

At Bobcat Stadium, Benbrook took the field against Western Hills with something to settle. A 2-0 loss earlier in the season still lingered, and this time the Bobcats played like a team that remembered.

From kickoff, the energy felt different. The Bobcats attacked with purpose and defended with urgency. The pressure paid off early, leading to the first goal and setting the tone for the night. The Cougars had their chances but struggled to break through against a disciplined and aggressive Bobcat back line.

By the final whistle, the Bobcats had secured a 4-0 shutout, extending their winning streak to four games and reclaiming bragging rights in the Battle of the Brook.

The Bobcats now stand at 12-9 overall and 7-3 in district, holding third place. Western Hills moves to 6-12 overall and 3-7 in district, currently in sixth place.

Benbrook travels Tuesday to face Eastern Hills and closes the week against Young Men’s Leadership Academy. Western Hills returns home to host Carter-Riverside before heading to Dunbar on Friday.

On a rivalry night that saw both Benbrook teams come out on top, the message was clear. The Brook belongs to the Bobcats, at least for now.
