Young performers in Benbrook will have a chance to step into the spotlight this summer as Benbrook Middle-High School prepares to host its Bobcats on Broadway theater camp June 3 through June 5.
The three-day camp is designed for incoming 4th through 9th-grade students interested in acting, singing, technical theater, theater games, and stage performance. Organizers say the experience is designed to provide students with hands-on learning opportunities while introducing them to the school’s theater program in a fun and welcoming environment.
Daily camp activities will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the final day shifting into a performance showcase for families. On June 5, campers will return at 1:30 p.m. ahead of the end-of-camp performance, with doors opening for parents at 4:45 p.m.
The cost is $200 for the first child and $150 for each additional child within the same household. Registration includes a camp T-shirt and snacks throughout the week, though families are asked to provide lunch for campers each day.
Camp organizers say the program is ideal for students curious about theater, whether they already love performing or simply want to try something new before the next school year begins.
