It was a week to remember on the greens at Pecan Valley, where Benbrook Middle-High School’s golf program did something rarely seen at any level.
They didn’t just win. They took over.
On the girls’ side, Avery Glanzer led the way as District Champion, followed closely by Campbell Glanzer, Jessica Anzaldua, Madison Willson, and Bay Bradshaw. Together, they claimed all five of the top spots, a first in school history.
The boys’ team matched that energy and then some. Brady Peloquin earned District Champion honors, with Seth James, Jaxyn Donart, Asher Rotman, and Pierce Battle rounding out the top five, and Brennan Barton placing sixth. It marked another milestone, with Benbrook sweeping the top six spots.
And the success did not stop there. The Bobcat Green team secured second place overall, earning a trip to Regionals. Tres Thomas, Nash Brannon, Will Petty, and Karsten Wanzer will join the rest of the program as they head to Lubbock next week.
For a program that continues to grow, this week was more than a win. It was a statement. Benbrook golf has arrived, and they are not slowing down anytime soon.
