Leadership development is becoming just as important as athletic development for many student-athletes, and Benbrook athletes recently had the chance to sharpen both this past week.
Bobcat students took part in the Fort Worth ISD Athletics Student Leadership Athlete Conference, joining athletes from across the district for a day focused on leadership, growth, and teamwork.
The event gave students opportunities to hear from speakers, connect with fellow athletes, and build skills that extend beyond competition and into everyday life.
Benbrook coaches and supporters expressed excitement about seeing Bobcat athletes continue to grow as leaders both on and off the field. While wins and championships often grab headlines, programs like this aim to shape communication, accountability, and character that can impact schools and communities long after graduation.
After all, leadership is something worth developing year-round, not just during the season.
