The stage is nearly set at Benbrook Middle-High School as Theatre Arts students prepare to perform Arthur Miller’s The Crucible this weekend.
The classic drama, set during the Salem witch trials, explores fear, suspicion, and the consequences of accusations as a community turns against itself.
Students have been hard at work preparing the production, including special effects the department says audiences will have to see to believe.
And the talent extends beyond the stage. BMHS art students designed and painted the production’s artwork, adding their own creative touch to the show.
Performances will take place in the BMHS auditorium on Friday, October 16, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, October 17, at 2 and 7 p.m.
It’s a chance to enjoy live theatre close to home while supporting the work of Benbrook’s student actors, artists, and production crew.
