Big trucks, flashing lights, and hands-on fun are rolling back into Benbrook later this month as the City of Benbrook prepares for its annual Touch-A-Truck event.
Families are invited to the Benbrook YMCA parking lot on Tuesday, May 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. for an evening when kids and adults can climb inside, explore, and learn about the many vehicles that help keep the city running every day.
Vehicles scheduled to appear include a patrol car, fire engine, ladder truck, ambulance, tractor, and animal control truck, along with opportunities to meet the first responders, city workers, and public safety teams behind them.
Organizers say the event is designed to give residents a closer look at the equipment and people serving the Benbrook community while creating a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere for all ages.
Food vendors will also be on-site with items available for purchase throughout the evening.
The event will take place in the Benbrook YMCA parking lot. Residents wanting additional information can call 817-249-6008.
