Benbrook’s Roy Woolsey Tournament Returns This June.

BENBROOK, TX — Early summer in Benbrook means one thing for a lot of families: baseball under the lights at Dutch Branch Park.

The Benbrook Youth Baseball and Softball Association is bringing back the Roy Woolsey Baseball Tournament for its 38th year, set for June 1 through June 5, 2026. The annual event continues to be a staple for local and regional teams, offering a steady mix of competition and community.

Teams can expect a three-game guarantee, with awards for first and second place. The tournament follows Pony rules, and both USA and USSSA bats are allowed. Participation is limited to Rec, Rec All-Star, and Double A teams, keeping the focus on competitive but accessible play.

Games will be held at Dutch Branch Park, drawing players, families, and spectators from across the area. Entry fees vary by age group, ranging from $375 for younger divisions to $450 for older teams, with no gate or pay-at-the-plate fees.

Registration is open now, and teams can sign up by emailing bybsatournaments@yahoo.com.

For many in Benbrook, this tournament is more than a set of games. It is part of the rhythm of summer, where long days turn into late innings and familiar faces gather around the field once again.
