Benbrook families packed the YMCA on Winscott Road this past weekend for a holiday kickoff that mixed small-town charm with plenty of Christmas spirit.
The annual Santa Pictures event, held Friday evening, brought a steady stream of parents and kids ready for a quick visit and a five-dollar keepsake photo. Proceeds from the photos supported the Spirit of Christmas program, adding a meaningful touch to the fun.
Santa and Mrs. Claus took center stage inside the YMCA at 1899 Winscott Rd, greeting families for two full hours while little ones posed, waved, and shared early wish-lists.
The celebration continued the next night as the community gathered again for Saturday’s holiday lineup. The evening featured a tree lighting, fireworks, and family activities that filled the area with a festive glow. With the Benbrook Fire Department helping host the fun, the event doubled as a chance for neighbors to come together before the season gets busier.
Both nights delivered what residents have come to expect each year: a warm, local tradition that brings everyone a little closer to Christmas.
