It is Senior Appreciation Week at the Benbrook Community Center YMCA, and the celebration comes with an open invitation for local seniors to stop by.
Through Friday, Oct. 2, all seniors can visit the Benbrook YMCA for free. Senior members can also bring unlimited guests throughout the week when accompanying them, giving them a chance to introduce friends, neighbors or family members to the Y.
The week continues Thursday with Throwback Thursday, when seniors are encouraged to break out their 1950s attire for some retro fun during SilverSneakers classes.
On Friday, the week wraps up with Coffee With a Veteran from 7:30 to 8 a.m., offering coffee and conversation with local veterans.
The YMCA is also encouraging seniors to check out the Tarrant County Senior Expo, where older adults can connect with programs, services, and community resources.
The Benbrook Community Center YMCA is located at 1899 Winscott Road. For more information, call 817-249-0500.
