Benbrook to Celebrate O’Brien’s Lasting Impact on Orchestra Program.

For years, the sound of strings filling the Benbrook Middle-High School auditorium has carried more than music. It has been shaped by the steady influence of one teacher who helped build the program from the ground up.

Now, that chapter is coming to a close.

The BMHS Orchestra Booster Club invites the community to a special reception honoring Ms. O’Brien as she retires, recognizing her years of service and the foundation she leaves behind. The event will take place May 12, immediately following the 6 p.m. spring concert in the BMHS Auditorium.

Students, families, and alumni are expected to gather not just to celebrate a career, but to thank the teacher who helped shape it. For many, her impact goes beyond the classroom, reaching into confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

The concert will mark the final notes of her time at BMHS, but the program she built and the students she inspired will carry her legacy forward.
