A full day of competition wrapped up the UIL academic season for Fort Worth ISD high schools, with strong results across the district and a standout finish for Benbrook.
This past Saturday, students from 4A and 5A schools competed in events ranging from calculator applications and spelling to computer programming, accounting, and literary criticism. The meet marked the final round of district competition, with top finishers now advancing to regionals later this spring.
Benbrook Middle-High School took first place in the 4A division, with I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA finishing second. In 5A, R.L. Paschal High School earned the top spot, followed by South Hills High School.
More than 150 students across both divisions qualified for regional competition based on individual event results.
The event brought together students, teachers, and academic coaches from across the district, closing out the local season and setting the stage for the next round of competition. Photos from the event can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Hnjv6n5jL/.
