A quiet moment in a gallery turned into a big milestone for Benbrook Middle-High School.
Charles Hatcher, a senior at Benbrook Middle-High School, earned second place in the FWISD Senior Art Portfolio competition during a special exhibit held Thursday at House of Neville Gallery and Gatherings. It marks another first for the school and a standout achievement for a student whose work continues to gain attention.
The annual showcase highlights some of the district’s top young artists, bringing together portfolios that reflect both technical skill and personal voice. Hatcher’s recognition places him among the best in Fort Worth ISD this year.
For Benbrook, it is more than an award. It is a sign of a growing arts presence on campus and a reminder that talent is showing up in more ways than one.
And for Hatcher, it is one more step toward what is shaping up to be a promising creative path.
