Summer is arriving, and the Benbrook Senior Center is ready with a full calendar of activities designed to keep residents connected, active, and engaged throughout June.
Located at 911 Winscott Road, the center offers a regular lineup of favorite games, including Hand & Foot, Bridge, Canasta, Mah Jongg, Mexican Train, Dominos, Pegs & Jokers, and “42.” Weekly activities run Monday through Friday, giving seniors plenty of opportunities to socialize and enjoy friendly competition.
The month also includes several special events, such as Birthday Bingo on June 3, a Dine & Unwind outing at Rio Mambo on June 10, Breakfast with the Katzy’s at Cracker Barrel on June 17, Fourth of July-themed rock painting, and a field trip to Camp Bowie later in the month.
One highlight will be Friday Night Bingo on June 5, featuring dinner and an evening of games for participants.
Beyond the cards, dominoes, and outings, the Senior Center continues to serve as a place where friendships are built and community happens. For many local residents, it’s a welcoming place to stay involved, share a few laughs, and enjoy the company of neighbors.
