School’s back in session, but Benbrook families should prepare for some serious headaches on the roads.
Recent roadwork has left large concrete blocks and lane closures around Cozby North and Warden streets, creating bottlenecks in areas that already struggle with traffic during school drop-off and pick-up.
Jerry Dunn also has debris slowing traffic near several schools, including Benbrook Middle-High, Westpark, Sonshine Preschool, and Rolling Hills Elementary.
With four schools funneling traffic onto a single lane off 2871, commuters should plan for at least 45 extra minutes. The city needs to clear the mess fast to avoid a complete gridlock for families heading to class.
If you’re driving kids to school this week, expect delays and stay patient.
