Parents of Benbrook Middle-High School students were notified Friday afternoon that a substitute teacher had been removed from campus following what officials described as unacceptable conduct.
According to Principal Jason Oliver, the incident included inappropriate physical contact with students and a disturbing comment referencing school violence. The substitute was immediately escorted off campus and will not return. District leaders and outside authorities are now reviewing the case as part of required procedures.
In his message to families, Oliver emphasized that student safety remains the schoolโs highest priority. Counselors and administrators are available to support any student who may feel upset by the incident, and parents are encouraged to reach out directly if their child needs help processing what happened.
Parents active on FWISD Watchdog social media said the incident involved a seventh-grade cheerleader. One parent reported that the substitute made a remark about preferring violence at the middle school over the high school, sparking outrage and deep concern among families.
While the situation left many shaken, families expressed relief that the school acted quickly to remove the substitute and limit further risk.
Benbrook Middle-High School, located at 201 Overcrest Drive, serves grades six through twelve. Updates will be provided as more details become available. For school resources and information, visit Fort Worth ISDโs website.
