The Benbrook Public Library is turning community kindness into action this month with a Food Drive running from November 10 to 21.
Inspired by a generous local donor who recently stocked the library’s Little Free Food Pantry with ready-to-make meal kits, the effort aims to create easy, shelf-stable “Meals in a Bag” for families in need.
Residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable items that can be combined into nutritious and comforting meals. The drive will culminate in a Community Service Day on November 21 from 2 to 4 p.m., where volunteers can help assemble the bags and make a hands-on difference.
Every contribution—big or small—helps feed local families and strengthen the sense of community that makes Benbrook special.
