Benbrook Firefighters Climb in Honor of the 343.

For Benbrook firefighters, remembering 9/11 meant taking 110 floors one step at a time.

On Sept. 11, Benbrook Fire Department’s A-shift completed a 9/11 Stair Climb in honor of the 343 firefighters who died responding to the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

The 110-floor climb represents the height of the World Trade Center towers and has become a way for firefighters across the country to remember those who climbed into danger that morning to help others escape.

For Benbrook’s A-shift, each step carried that memory forward while honoring the courage, sacrifice, and brotherhood of the firefighters who never returned home.

As the department simply put it: “110 floors. One team. Never forgotten.”
