Benbrook City Council to Consider Rowan Ranch Rezoning Today.

Benbrook City Council will meet today, Thursday, January 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 911 Winscott Road. The meeting is open to the public and gives residents another chance to stay informed and speak directly to city leaders on issues shaping the community.

The evening begins with the regular order of business, including invocation, the pledge, and citizen comments. Residents may address any agenda item during this portion, with each speaker allotted up to three minutes.

One of the key items scheduled is a public hearing on the proposed Rowan Ranch rezoning request. The request involves roughly 80 acres of land along the east side of I.H. 820 between Veterans Parkway and Chapin Road. The proposal would adjust zoning to allow a mix of multi-family and single-family development. This item will be presented by the Planning and Zoning Commission and is expected to draw community interest.

Council will also review and consider approval of minutes from the January 5 meeting before moving into informal citizen comments. While no decisions can be made during that portion, it allows residents to raise concerns, ask questions, or request future agenda items.

The meeting will conclude with council member and staff updates, followed by adjournment. All agenda items are subject to final action during the meeting.

Residents who want to stay involved in local decision-making are encouraged to attend in person. More information about City Council meetings, agendas, and updates can be found through the City of Benbrook at https://www.benbrook-tx.gov.
