On a course that tests patience as much as skill, the Benbrook boys golf team closed out its regular season with a steady showing at the Glen Rose Invitational at Squaw Valley Golf Course.
Competing against a full field of 18 teams, the Bobcats finished eighth with a team score of 331. It was not the top of the leaderboard, but it was a round that reflected growth, resilience, and a team beginning to find its footing at the right time.
Leading the way was sophomore Seth James, who set the pace for the Bobacats with a 77. His round stood out as the team’s low score and a strong individual performance heading into postseason play.
The rest of the lineup added to the team effort. Brady Peloquin posted an 82, followed closely by Asher Rotman with an 83. Jaxyn Donart came in at 89, and Karsten Wanzor rounded out the group with a 92.
With the regular season now complete, the focus shifts to the district next week. For Benbrook, this finish is less about where they placed and more about how they are trending.
The scores are tightening. The lineup is settling in. And with the district ahead, the Bobcats are stepping into the next round of competition with purpose and momentum.
