The Benbrook Bobcats soccer team kicked off district play in thrilling fashion on Friday, securing their first district win of the season with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Eastern Hills Highlanders.
It wasn’t an easy win, but the Bobcats managed to hold off a late push from the Highlanders, marking their third consecutive victory over them. The win was also their first road victory of the season, improving their record to 3-8 overall and 1-3 in district play, currently sitting at 5th in the district standings.
The Bobcats are back on the road tomorrow, set to face Young Men’s Leadership Academy at 8:00 p.m.
