Fresh off a dominant sweep over Eagle Mountain, the Benbrook Bobcats are charging into round two of the playoffs with serious momentum—and the eyes of Texas baseball fans firmly fixed on them.
Last weekend, the Bobcats crushed Eagle Mountain in back-to-back games, 12-2 and 13-2, securing their fifth bi-district title in six years. Now, they’re stepping into what’s being billed as the biggest Class 4A matchup in the state.
Ranked #1 in the regional polls, Benbrook is set to face Brock, who holds the #2 regional spot. Nationally, it’s neck-and-neck, with each team trading places in the top 10 of multiple polls.
This highly anticipated area-round series will take place at Chisholm Trail High School in Fort Worth (3100 NW College Dr), with Benbrook fans filling the third base side.
Game times are:
- Thursday at 7 p.m. (Benbrook is the home team)
- Friday at 7 p.m. (Benbrook is the visiting team)
- Saturday at 1 p.m. (if needed, coin flip decides home team)
It’s a heavyweight battle with everything on the line. Benbrook, now a perennial playoff force, needs the full roar of its community as they chase another deep postseason run.
