The beloved snowball stand, known for its colorful and refreshing treats, has shut down both its Camp Bowie and Roanoke locations for good. While the reasons for the closures remain unclear, it marks the end of an era for local snow cone lovers.

For those still craving that signature Pelican’s experience, the nearest open location is in Decatur, about an hour’s drive from Benbrook. It’s located at 507 US-81 Bus, Decatur, TX 76234.

But fear not, snow cone enthusiasts! Benbrook still has options. Funky Town Freeze, conveniently located at the corner of Winscott and Mercedes, just behind the gas station near The Church at Benbrook, offers both walk-up and drive-through service to satisfy your frosty cravings without the long drive.
