Bowling Rolls Into Benbrook Middle-High School.

Benbrook Middle-High School (BMHS) is picking up a new sport, and it’s right up the alley for students looking for something fresh.

Starting in the 2025–2026 school year, BMHS will officially offer bowling as a competitive sport through the Texas High School Bowling Association.

The green light came quietly in a recent Bobcat Weekly update, but the buzz is starting to build. The school is gauging interest now, and it’s as simple as checking out the flyer linked in the weekly Smore update. The more student and parent response, the better chance this team gets off the ground fast.

A longtime Benbrook resident and seasoned coach, who’s led Boswell High’s bowling teams, has already expressed interest in heading up the program. With both boys and girls varsity teams on the table, this could be a big win for students looking for a fun, inclusive, and strategic sport that plays well into team spirit.

If you’re interested, make sure to contact Assistant Principal Ball once the new school year kicks off. The sooner interest is confirmed, the sooner BMHS can start rolling.
