Regular and Bulk Trash Rules Every Benbrook Resident Should Know.

In Benbrook, getting rid of large or bulky household items is easier when you know what goes to the curb and what doesn’t.

Republic Services, the city’s contracted waste provider, handles trash, recycling, brush, and bulk pickup, but not everything qualifies for curbside collection.

You can set out items like couches, desks, toilets, bookcases, and box springs. Please ensure everything is out by 7 a.m. on Wednesday. Brush should be bundled in pieces under 3 feet long and weigh less than 50 pounds. From there, pickup happens within 72 hours.

However, not all items make the cut. Appliances, such as refrigerators or freezers, must have a certified technician remove refrigerants before they can be collected. Republic Services also won’t accept tires, paint, batteries, chemicals, or construction debris.

If you’ve got something that doesn’t qualify, you can haul it to the Southeast Landfill at 6288 Salt Road in Fort Worth.
