Benbrook, meet your next hometown hero—Mya Vasquez. If you haven’t heard her name yet, it’s time to tune in.
This Lady Bobcat sophomore is tearing up the softball diamond and putting up jaw-dropping numbers that have the whole DFW area taking notice.
In an incredible 101 plate appearances this season, Mya hasn’t struck out once. That’s right—not a single K. Her bat has been on fire, racking up 49 hits, 15 doubles, 47 RBIs, and 56 runs. She’s batting a scorching .671 and playing a key role in pushing Benbrook High to yet another playoff appearance.
Oh, and did we mention she’s part of the longest active district winning streak in the metroplex? That’s 62 straight wins and counting.
But Mya’s more than just a standout on the field—she’s also a top student and a positive force in the Benbrook community. With two more seasons ahead, the future is bright for this all-around star.
