Cougar Alumni Class Challenge Raises Over $10,000 and Counting.

Western Hills Cougar alumni are showing their school pride through the Cougar Pride Alliance’s Class Challenge, with nine graduating classes contributing a combined $10,114 so far.

According to Patty Pressley, the Class of 1982 leads with $5,200, followed by the Classes of 1976 ($1,250), 1975 ($1,000), and 2010 ($1,000). Other participating classes include 1983 ($465), 1986 ($100), 1996 ($500), 1999 ($99), and 2000 ($500).

Beyond the challenge, Pressley also shared a remarkable act of generosity from a Class of 1983 alumnus who anonymously provided a $30,000 scholarship, awarded at $7,500 annually, to a recent graduate now attending Columbia University.

Sunday, October 25, is the final day to contribute, with updated Class Challenge totals expected Monday. Alumni mailing donations through USPS are encouraged to notify Pressley so their contributions can be counted.

For these Cougar alumni, the challenge is about more than class bragging rights. It’s also about supporting the next generation.
