Fort Worth ISD families have one more day to weigh in on what the district should expect from its students, superintendent, and leadership.
The district’s Community Listening Survey closes Tuesday, Sept. 15, as the Board of Managers develops goals and guardrails intended to define priorities for student outcomes and boundaries for how the superintendent operates. FWISD says community feedback will help shape that work ahead of a Goals & Guardrails workshop scheduled for Sept. 26.
The survey asks five broad questions: what students should know and be able to do, what defines a successful graduate, what values district leadership should honor, what FWISD should keep doing and what it should stop doing.
The feedback carries added significance while FWISD is governed by a state-appointed Board of Managers rather than its elected trustees. The Texas Education Agency appointed the nine-member board in March, temporarily suspending the elected board’s authority until the district meets requirements for a return to elected governance.
Residents can complete the FWISD Community Listening Survey through Tuesday, Sept. 15.
