Storms rolled through Benbrook and Fort Worth Friday evening, slowing traffic and delaying the Lady Bobcats’ home match against Diamond Hill-Jarvis by about 30 to 45 minutes.
But once the first serve went up, Benbrook quickly took control.
Looking to bounce back from a five-set district-opening loss to Southwest earlier in the week, the Lady Bobcats swept the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Lady Eagles in straight sets, 25-10, 25-7 and 25-16.
The win improved Benbrook to 15-13 overall and 1-1 in district play, while continuing a strong home run with 14 wins in their last 17 matches.
After weathering a tough loss earlier in the week and Friday night’s storms, the Lady Bobcats got their groove back, finding their way back into the win column.
The Lady Bobcats return to the road Tuesday for another district matchup against Carter-Riverside at 7 p.m.
