The new school year is getting a little more real for Benbrook sixth graders as students begin picking up their school-issued MacBooks.
Device pickup for sixth-grade students is underway at Benbrook Middle-High School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8.
Families should be prepared to complete the initial MacBook setup, including connecting to FWISD Wi-Fi and signing into the student’s district and Google accounts.
At least one family reported having trouble signing in during pickup and was advised to take the MacBook home and try completing the setup using their home Wi-Fi.
So, if setup does not go perfectly on the first try, you may not be alone. The important part is getting that MacBook in hand before the first bell rings.
