A fatal crash involving a cement mixer shut down part of FM 1187 near Ben Day Murrin Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 1 p.m., emergency crews and personnel from across the county responded to the scene of a cement mixer having left the roadway and crashed into a ditch, causing significant damage. Responders later confirmed the driver died at the scene.
FM 1187 was closed for several hours as emergency personnel worked the crash and investigators processed the scene.
The identity of the driver has not been released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
