For three days earlier this month, Benbrook Stables was filled with the sounds of hoofbeats, laughter, and young campers eager to learn something new.
During its June 8-10 Summer Horse Camp, children spent their days gaining hands-on experience in horse care and horsemanship. Campers learned grooming, saddling, horse safety, and riding skills while building confidence alongside their four-legged partners.
The fun extended beyond the arena with hayrides, crafts, games, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.
Organizers said one of the highlights was watching campers grow more comfortable around horses and develop new skills throughout the week.
As one camp session wraps up, the summer adventure continues. Benbrook Stables is already looking ahead to welcoming its next group of young riders for more learning, laughter, and life lessons in the saddle.
