Benbrook’s Tucker Delivers in All-State, All-Star Thriller.

The final game of a high school career is often memorable. For Benbrook’s Ethan Tucker, it was unforgettable.

Earlier today at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Tucker represented Benbrook in the 2026 Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game, an honor reserved for many of the state’s top graduating seniors.

With the North All-Stars trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Tucker stepped to the plate and delivered. He drove a ball into right field, bringing home a run and cutting the deficit to 2-1 while collecting an RBI in the process.

That hit helped spark a comeback that wasn’t finished until the final moments.

After the South team extended its lead to 3-1 in the ninth, the North refused to quit. A late rally tied the game at 3-3 before the North scored the winning run on a walk-off wild pitch with two outs, securing a dramatic 4-3 victory.

For Tucker, the performance was a fitting final chapter to an outstanding high school career. It also served as one last reminder of the talent and determination that made him one of Benbrook’s standout players.

His high school days may be over, but his baseball journey is just beginning. Tucker is set to continue his career at Texas Wesleyan University, where he’ll take his talents to the collegiate level.

Not every player gets a chance to finish on a stage like this. Fewer still get to leave their mark on the game. Ethan Tucker did both.
