Students in the Benbrook Middle-High School orchestra program returned from Midlothian this past weekend with more than just a performance experience. They came home with awards.
Both the Philharmonic and Sinfonetta orchestras earned Superior ratings during the competition, marking a strong showing for the middle school music program.
The weekend’s biggest honor went to the Philharmonic Orchestra, which also received the Best Overall award against competing groups at the event.
School officials congratulated orchestra director Ms. Sanchez and the students for the accomplishment, recognizing the preparation and discipline that went into the performances.
The results continue a strong stretch for Benbrook fine arts programs as students across campus head into spring showcases, concerts, and end-of-year performances.
