Another round of road improvements is on the way for Benbrook drivers, this time in the Ridglea area.
The City of Benbrook announced that asphalt street overlay work in Ridglea will begin on Wednesday, May 13, as part of ongoing street maintenance efforts across the city. The project is expected to take up to 30 calendar days, depending on weather conditions.
For residents who travel through the area daily, that likely means temporary delays, work crews, and a little extra planning during the month ahead.
Street overlay projects are designed to improve road surfaces, extend pavement life, and help prevent larger repairs down the road. While the short-term inconvenience can slow traffic, the long-term goal is to achieve smoother, safer streets for everyone.
As construction gets underway, drivers are encouraged to stay alert, allow extra travel time, and watch for updates from the city.
