BENBROOK, TX — At Western Hills High School, small acts of generosity are quietly making a daily impact.
Through its Cougar Alliance program, the school provides lunch sacks to students who need them. Recently, those efforts were strengthened by donations from Ridglea Presbyterian Church, helping ensure students have something to rely on each day.
The support did not happen by chance. Church members Karen Landon and Caroline Maas helped advocate and coordinate the effort, connecting resources to a real need on campus.
School leaders say the donated items are used every day, a steady reminder that the community is paying attention and willing to step in where it matters.
It is not a big, flashy effort. Just people showing up, meeting a need, and making sure students are cared for in a way that is felt long after lunchtime.
