Bobcats Baseball Stay Sharp, Hold Off Late Push From Trimble Tech.

The Benbrook Bobcats came out strong Thursday night on the road against the Trimble Tech Bulldogs, but what started as a comfortable lead turned into a late test.

The Bobcats got on the board early and kept the pressure on through the first few innings. Chevy Martinez provided a key moment with a solo home run to center and finished 2-for-2 with two RBIs, two walks, and two stolen bases.

On the mound, Dan Stiefvater delivered one of his strongest outings, holding the Bulldogs in check through five innings while allowing just one run and striking out eight.

The Bobcats built a 5-0 lead and later stretched it to 8-1 before the game shifted late. The Bulldogs found momentum in the final innings, cutting the lead to 8-6 and putting pressure on the Bobcats down the stretch.

The Bobcats held on, showing composure to close it out. They finished with six walks, four stolen bases, and a key double play, with Trentin Hornbeck and Cash Bergen contributing in relief.

The win moves the Bobcats to 16-8-1 overall. While district play remains perfect at 8-0, this non-district matchup served as a timely test as the team continues preparing for the postseason.
