A packed room and plenty of familiar faces set the tone as Roberto Olono Jr. marked a major milestone this week.
The Benbrook student-athlete standout officially signed to continue his academic and athletic career at Houston Christian University, earning a full-ride scholarship. He plans to play soccer while pursuing a degree in Engineering Science.
The signing event drew strong support from coaches, teammates, and community members who have been part of his journey. Their presence reflected the impact Olono has made both on and off the field during his time at Benbrook.
School leaders say his work ethic and leadership have left a lasting mark on campus. Now, as he heads to the next level, he carries that same support with him.
