Lady Cougars Break Game Open in Blowout Win, Senior Night Up Next.

For three innings, it was a fight, and then, everything changed.

The Lady Cougars found their rhythm in the fourth and turned a close game into a statement win, scoring 16 runs in a single inning on the way to a 32–4 victory over Dunbar at Clark Stadium.

Senior shortstop Sam Chavez led the surge, going 5-for-5 with five doubles and eight RBIs. Addison Dudley added power at the plate with her first home run of the season, along with two doubles. In the field and on the bases, Sophia Castellanos kept the pressure on, swiping four bases and moving within five of 100 for her career.

The win reflected a full team effort. Nearly every player contributed, with 12 of 13 recording a hit and 11 driving in runs.

With the victory, the Lady Cougars move to 9–2 in district play and now turn their attention to Senior Night this Friday. First pitch is set for 6 PM, offering fans a chance to celebrate six seniors and catch a team playing some of its best softball of the season.
