On the final night of March, the Benbrook Bobcats did not leave much to wonder about.

Already sitting atop the district standings, the Bobcats came into their matchup against the Eastern Hills Highlanders looking to finish the month strong. From the first inning on, they took control and never let go.

Hudson Stockton reached third after driving a ball deep to center field in Tuesday nightโ€™s district game against Eastern Hills.

Hudson Stockton got things rolling early with a triple to center, and Brennan Barton followed with a double that helped push four runs across in the opening frame. Just like that, Benbrook had a 4-0 lead, and the tone for the night was set.

The second inning brought more of the same. Patience at the plate turned into production, with walks from Chevy Martinez and Stockton, followed by a single from Ethan Tucker, stretching the lead to 8-0.

By the third inning, the game had opened up. Evan Smith sent one over the left field fence for a two-run homer. Trentin Hornbeck added an inside-the-park home run, and Martinez drove in another run with a double. The lead grew to 12-0, and the Bobcats were in full control.

On the mound, Hornbeck backed it up. He allowed just one hit across two innings, struck out five, and kept Eastern Hills off the scoreboard. Smith and Tanner Madara handled the rest, closing things out without much trouble.

At the plate, the numbers told the story. The Bobcats racked up 17 hits. Tucker went a perfect 3-for-3. Stockton drove in three runs and finished 2-for-2. Barton added two hits, while Martinez drew two walks as part of a team effort that totaled seven free passes.

Clean defense matched the offensive output. No errors, steady fielding, and strong awareness across the board. Giuliano Martinez led the way defensively with eight chances handled.

With a 16-0 win, the Bobcats move to 14-8-1 overall and 5-0 in district play, holding firm in first place. The rematch with the Highlanders is set for later this week, but for now, the Bobcats leave March playing confident, connected, and in rhythm at the right time.
