Lady Bobcats Golf Closes Strong, Eyes District Run.

There is something steady about a team finding its rhythm at the right time, and that is exactly what Benbrook’s girls golf squad showed this week at the 27-hole Centennial Tournament at Squaw Valley Golf Course.

By the end of day two, the Lady Bobcats had done more than compete. The Lady Bobcats secured a second-place team finish, closing out the regular season with confidence and momentum heading into district play.

At the center of it all was senior Avery Glanzer, who led the field from start to finish. Her tournament-winning score of 103 set the tone and gave the Lady Bobcats a strong anchor across all 27 holes.

The team effort behind her told an equally important story.

Campbell Glanzer finished sixth with a 117, while Jessica Anzaldua added a solid 123. Madison Willson carded a 144, and Bay Bradshaw rounded out the lineup at 188. Each score contributed to a team total of 487, just two strokes behind first-place Argyle at 485.

That narrow margin reflects how competitive the day was, and how close Benbrook is to breaking through.

With the regular season now complete, the focus shifts quickly. District is next, and Benbrook heads in playing some of its best golf of the year.

If this week was any indication, the Lady Bobcats are not just showing up. They are positioning themselves to contend when it matters most.
