It did not take long for the Benbrook Lady Bobcats golf team to make a statement.
At the Centennial 27 Hole Invitational at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose, Texas, the team surged into first place after the opening round, posting a school record score of 326. It was a performance built on steady play, confidence, and a lineup that delivered across the board.
- Benbrook: 1st place, 326 total
- Argyle: 2nd place, 329
- Burleson Centennial: 3rd place, 340

Blazingly leading the way, Avery Glanzer turned in a standout round of 67, setting a new school record while also marking a personal best in tournament play. Her round placed her firmly at the top of the individual leaderboard and set the tone early.
Jessica Anzaldua added to the momentum with a personal record score of 81, continuing a strong day for the Lady Bobcats as they separated from the field, as the results indicate:
- Avery Glanzer: 1st place, 67, five under par
- Campbell Glanzer: 6th place, seven over par
- Jessica Anzaldua: 7th place, nine over par
- Madison Willson: 18th place, 27 over par
- Bay Bradshaw: 27th place, 55 over par
Through one round, the Lady Bobcats have not only taken the lead but also raised the standard. With one round still to play, they carry both momentum and a growing belief that this group is capable of something special.
