Residents Organizes Ahead of Major Data Center Development Talks.

A growing group of Benbrook residents is meeting tonight with a clear purpose: to get informed, get aligned, and prepare for a series of conversations that could shape the city’s near future.

The 2871 Community Coalition is hosting a community meeting on Monday at 6:00 PM at VFW Post 10429, located at 1000 Stevens Drive. The focus is preparation for Tuesday’s discussion with Council Member Michael Crain, PMB Capital, and Edged Data Centers, as well as the upcoming City Council vote scheduled for March 31.

For many in the community, the goal is not to shut down the proposed economic development agreement, but to strengthen it. Organizers plan to walk residents through what decisions have already been made, what is still on the table, and the specific priorities they believe should be included in the final agreement.

The meeting will also help residents understand how to engage in the process, including how to sign up to speak at the March 31 council meeting. With Tuesday’s meeting offering a rare opportunity to ask questions directly to decision-makers, tonight’s gathering is designed to ensure the community shows up informed and ready.

For those who have been following from a distance, this meeting offers a clear entry point. For others already engaged, it is a chance to move from concern to coordinated action.
