Fort Worth ISD Investigates Alleged Teacher’s Social Media Post Targeting Immigrant Students.

The Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD) is investigating a social media post reportedly made by a North Side High School teacher that appeared to suggest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers visit the school to arrest students.

The post, shared in response to an ICE arrest report on Jan. 23, claimed students who “don’t even speak English” use translation apps to communicate. The account allegedly tied to the post has since been made private. FWISD officials have commented on their Facebook page.

This incident echoes a similar case in 2019 when Carter-Riverside High School teacher Georgia Clark was fired for tweets calling for federal action against undocumented students. Her dismissal was upheld after a lengthy legal battle.
