The Benbrook Lady Bobcats kept their district momentum alive Thursday night, turning a rocky start into a decisive 23-4 win over the Eastern Hills Lady Highlanders at Bobcat Softball Stadium.
The Lady Highlanders jumped ahead 3-0 early after a few defensive miscues and a brief adjustment period in the circle for Madison Canada. The lead did not last long.

The Lady Bobcats answered in the bottom of the first inning with a powerful offensive burst, scoring 13 runs to take control of the game. The bats stayed hot in the second inning as the Lady Bobcats added 10 more runs, highlighted by a triple from Canada and a run-scoring double from Mya Vasquez.
By the end of the second inning, the Lady Bobcats had built a commanding lead and never looked back. Eastern Hills added one run in the third before the game ended by the mercy rule.
Vasquez and Maelee Lindley each drove in four runs to lead the offense. The Lady Bobcats also showed patience at the plate, drawing 15 walks and stealing six bases.
Canada earned the win, striking out six over two innings, with Alexis Phillips appearing in relief.
With the victory, the Lady Bobcats remain undefeated in district play, currently ranked 1st, and move to 10-10 on the season.
The Lady Bobcats return to the field today at 4:30 p.m. at Dutch Branch Park and Athletic Complex to host Mineral Wells, whom they lost to 20-3 earlier this season.
