Lady Bobcats Soccer Deliver Win on Teacher Appreciation Night.

Storms delayed the action Friday night, but the Benbrook Lady Bobcats soccer team made up for lost time Monday with another dominant district performance.

Before kickoff against the Young Women’s Leadership Academy, the team paused to recognize local educators during Teacher Appreciation Night. Once the whistle blew, the focus quickly shifted back to soccer.

Benbrook controlled the match from start to finish and walked away with a 9-0 victory. Sydney Chavez led the scoring effort with four goals. Additional goals came from Randee Slater, Lexie Garcia, Grace Klaerner, Leah Jimenez, and Lily Chavez.

The Lady Bobcats also moved the ball well throughout the match. Slater, Garcia, Klaerner, Jimenez, Lily Carias, Eleanor Vazquez, and Anamarie Ortiz each recorded an assist, while Kiera Cleveland added two.

The win secures a playoff spot for the Lady Bobcats, which now sits at 17 3 1 on the season and remains undefeated in district play at 12 0. The team currently holds first place and carries a 12-game winning streak.
